Police in Islamabad have increased security measures ahead of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rally in Sangjani, scheduled for Sunday. Hotels, guesthouses, and restaurants in the area are ordered to remain closed until September 9, with strict action against violators.

The rally aims to showcase PTI’s political strength, with members instructed to bring supporters. Entry and exit points to the Red Zone are sealed, and only authorized individuals can enter through Margalla Road.

Details of the Rally

The district administration has granted conditional approval for the rally, which will run from 4 pm to 7 pm without disrupting business or public movement. PTI leadership has visited the venue, and preparations are complete.

Instructions to PTI Members

Lawmakers and party workers from nearby constituencies are instructed to arrive with at least 500 supporters, while those from farther away should bring at least 150 workers. Members are asked to form convoys from their constituencies before heading to the rally venue.

Security Measures

All entry and exit points to the Red Zone in Islamabad are sealed off using containers. Only authorized individuals will be allowed entry through Margalla Road. Containers have been placed in the Sangjani area, blocking the GT Road in both directions. The motorway’s entry point to Islamabad at the 26th toll plaza has also been closed.
