The Indian women’s cricket team achieved a historic win against South Africa at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. They set a record with a score of 525/4 on Day 1, thanks to a 292-run partnership by Shafali Verma and Smriti Mandhana.
South Africa was bowled out for 266 and 37 after a follow-on. Jay Shah praised Sneh Rana’s bowling and the centuries by Verma and Mandhana. Despite a strong fight by South Africa’s Laura Wolvaardt and Sune Luus, India secured a 10-wicket victory.
