India has shown its dedication to helping in times of crisis by providing quick humanitarian aid to Lebanon during the ongoing war in West Asia. Lebanon’s Ambassador to India, Rabie Narsh, praised India’s support at a press conference, highlighting the strong friendship between the two nations that dates back over 70 years.

Ambassador Narsh noted that India has offered about 30 tonnes of medicines to Lebanon, demonstrating proactive support even before being asked. He expressed concerns about the conflict in the Middle East and urged the United States to reconsider its support for Israel, stating that the US has the power to stop Israel’s aggression.

Narsh criticized Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, calling him a war criminal based on warrants from international courts. He hopes the upcoming US election will lead to a new administration that prioritizes peace over war.

On Friday, India sent the first batch of 11 tonnes of medical supplies to Lebanon, part of a 33-tonne humanitarian effort. The supplies include various medications and are crucial amid the rising tensions and conflict in southern Lebanon. India also emphasized the safety of UN peacekeepers in the region, particularly those along the Blue Line separating Lebanon from Israel.
