Indian Students Worried as Canada Ends Fast-Track Study Visa Program
Indian students are concerned after Canada decided to end its fast-track Student Direct Stream (SDS) visa program. This program, popular for its quick study permit processing, was a preferred choice for many aspiring to study in Canada. The SDS, launched in 2018, offered faster processing for students from countries like India, China, and Brazil. The Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) stated that the goal is to ensure equal and fair access to study permits for all international students.
