Indian Railways Introduces Special Trains for Diwali and Chhath Puja
Patna, Bihar, India – Indian Railways has announced special arrangements to help people travel home for the festive season, including Diwali and Chhath Puja. To handle the increased number of travelers, special trains have been introduced.

Many travelers have noticed improvements in the government’s preparations. Jairam Singh, a commuter, mentioned that the government is making efforts to manage the large crowds. Rajeev, another traveler, expressed satisfaction with the arrangements, although he noted some delays due to the festive rush.
Another commuter pointed out that while sanitation has improved, ticket availability remains a challenge. The government has stopped allowing travel on waitlisted tickets, which has caused some difficulties.
Special Train Services
Indian Railways has announced 164 special trains to ensure people reach their destinations in time for the festivals. These trains will operate on routes from Secunderabad, Ahmedabad, Kottayam, Ujjain, Bhopal, New Delhi, and Nagpur to Bihar and Uttar Pradesh.
Kaushik Mitra, Eastern Railway’s Chief Public Relations Officer, stated that they will run 50 special trains and provide 400 additional services for the festive season. The number of special trains has increased from 33 to 50 this year, and more general coaches have been added to accommodate passengers.
