Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri Meets Nepal PM K P Sharma Oli in Kathmandu
On August 11, Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri met with Nepalese Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli at the PM Office and Council of Ministers in Kathmandu’s Singha Durbar palace. The two officials discussed various matters of mutual interest during their meeting.
Earlier in the day, Misri arrived in Kathmandu for a two-day official visit, invited by his Nepali counterpart Sewa Lamsal. He was welcomed by Lamsal at the VIP Lounge of the Tribhuvan International Airport.
The Foreign Secretaries of both nations will discuss ways to further strengthen Nepal-India relations and advance mutually beneficial cooperation. The Indian embassy in Nepal stated that Misri’s visit underlines India’s commitment to its Neighbourhood First policy and continues the tradition of regular high-level bilateral exchanges.
During his visit, Foreign Secretary Misri will call on high-level dignitaries of Nepal. The visit is part of the ongoing exchange of visits between the two friendly neighbors.
