Indian Army Stops Terrorists at LoC in Jammu and Kashmir
The Indian Army, along with Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) and Border Security Force (BSF), successfully stopped three terrorists from crossing the Line of Control (LoC) in the Machhal and Tangdhar sectors of Jammu and Kashmir.
Operation Details:
Based on credible intelligence from agencies and corroborated by JKP, the Indian Army, JKP, and BSF set up ambushes on likely infiltration routes in both sectors. Around 8 PM, ambush teams in the Machhal sector spotted terrorists moving through thick foliage, approximately 600 meters on their side of the LoC. An intense exchange of fire ensued, resulting in the elimination of two terrorists.
Similarly, at approximately 9 PM in the Tangdhar sector, security forces engaged with infiltrating terrorists about 100 meters on their side of the LoC, leading to the elimination of one terrorist.
This successful intelligence-based operation showcases the close cooperation between the Indian Army, JKP, and BSF, and underscores the Indian Army’s commitment to maintaining the sanctity of the LoC and peace in the Kashmir Valley.
