Indian Army Builds Bridge in North Sikkim to Help Villages Cut Off by Rain

The Indian Army’s Trishakti Corps engineers have built a 150-foot suspension bridge in North Sikkim. This bridge reconnects border villages that were cut off due to heavy rains, providing much-needed relief to the locals.

Despite challenging conditions, the army engineers showcased their technical skills by completing the bridge in less than 48 hours. The waters were flowing at speeds over 20 knots, making the task even more difficult.

This new bridge will help re-establish connectivity, allowing people to move and receive relief materials. The Indian Army remains dedicated to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of those living in border areas.
