On October 6, the Indian Air Force (IAF) celebrated its 92nd anniversary with a stunning air show at Marina Beach in Chennai. The event attracted an estimated 1.5 million spectators, according to the Ministry of Defence.

Distinguished Guests

The Chief Guest was MK Stalin, Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, Chief of the Air Staff, along with senior officers and dignitaries from both state and central governments, attended the event.

Theme and Highlights

The theme for this year was “Sashakt, Saksham, Atmanirbhar” (Potent, Powerful, Self-reliant). The IAF showcased its strength and skill with breathtaking aerial maneuvers, embodying its motto, “Touch the Sky with Glory.” The event featured a variety of aircraft, including indigenous projects like Tejas, Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH), Light Combat Helicopter Prachand, and Hindustan Turbo Trainer-40 (HTT-40).

Awe-Inspiring Performances

The audience was thrilled by the low-level aerobatics of the Sukhoi-30 MKI, demonstrating the professionalism of IAF pilots. The grand finale included performances by the Suryakiran and Sarang Aerobatic Teams, leaving the audience mesmerized.

The air show was a powerful reminder of India’s capability, empowerment, and commitment to self-reliance.
