IMD Predicts Light Rain in Delhi-NCR and Heavy Rain in Other Regions

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted the possibility of light rain in the Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR) for Wednesday evening and the next two days. According to IMD scientist Dr. Naresh, winds from the Bay of Bengal may result in light rainfall activity in the region. He stated, “Winds from the Bay of Bengal are coming towards Delhi-NCR, this may result in light rain in the evening. Light rainfall may also occur tomorrow and the day after tomorrow. The rainfall activity will end after that.”

On the rising humidity in Delhi over the last few days, Dr. Naresh added, “We expect that the weather will be pleasant after that… In the coming 1 or 2 days, Himachal Pradesh may experience light to moderate rainfall. Uttarakhand may receive isolated heavy rainfall.”

The IMD also predicted an extremely heavy rainfall warning over Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim for September 26. Additionally, a very heavy rainfall warning has been issued for Saurashtra and Kachchh, Bihar, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya for September 26. Meanwhile, heavy rainfall was observed in coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam during the past 24 hours till 8:30 am on September 25.
