Hyderabad and Delhi Metro Extend Services for New Year's Eve 2024
To ensure safe and convenient travel during New Year celebrations, Hyderabad Metro Rail will operate extended hours on New Year's Eve. According to NVS Reddy, Managing Director of Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited, the last train will depart from all terminal stations at 12:30 am and reach their endpoints by 1:15 am on January 1, 2025. This initiative highlights Hyderabad Metro's dedication to passenger convenience during special occasions.
In Delhi, the Metro has implemented crowd control measures at Rajiv Chowk Metro Station. From 9:00 PM on December 31, 2024, exits will be restricted, although entry will remain open until the last train departs. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation announced that QR tickets for Rajiv Chowk will not be issued from 8:00 PM onwards via their mobile app to ensure smooth operations. Metro services on other lines will follow the regular schedule, and commuters are advised to plan accordingly.
