The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted an intense spell of rainfall across Delhi-NCR for the next two hours. This could lead to localised flooding, waterlogging in low-lying areas, and closure of underpasses. The IMD also warns of reduced visibility and traffic disruptions due to waterlogged roads, which may increase travel time.

Delhi woke up to cloudy skies and light rainfall on Wednesday morning. The IMD has issued a yellow alert for the city, predicting more rain until Friday. Recent rains have already caused waterlogging in parts of Delhi, including Mundka, where vehicles struggled to move through flooded roads.
Heavy rainfall has also severely affected Ajmer, Rajasthan, causing significant waterlogging and traffic congestion. The IMD forecasts widespread rainfall in northwest India, including Uttarakhand, East Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh, with isolated heavy rainfall expected in some areas.
