Heavy Rain Closes Schools in Pune, Mumbai, and Raigad on July 9

In response to heavy rain warnings, schools in Pune, Mumbai, and Raigad will be closed on July 9. Pune’s Collector Dr. Suhas Diwase announced the closure to ensure safety, while school staff will assist with disaster management. Mumbai’s BMC and Raigad’s District Collector also declared holidays for schools and colleges.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued red and orange alerts for various regions, predicting heavy rainfall until July 12. Citizens are advised to exercise caution and avoid unnecessary travel.
