Indian Men’s Hockey Team Announced for Paris 2024 Olympics

New Delhi, June 26: Hockey India has revealed the 16-member Indian Men’s Hockey Team set to compete in the Paris 2024 Olympics from July 26 to August 11, 2024. The team includes five Olympic debutants and is led by experienced drag-flicker Harmanpreet Singh, with Hardik Singh as Vice-Captain.

Team Composition

The squad features veteran goalkeeper PR Sreejesh and midfielder Manpreet Singh, both making their fourth Olympic appearance. The defense includes Harmanpreet Singh, Jarmanpreet Singh, Amit Rohidas, Sumit, and Sanjay. The midfield is strengthened by Raj Kumar Pal, Shamsher Singh, Manpreet Singh, Hardik Singh, and Vivek Sagar Prasad. The forward line includes Abhishek, Sukhjeet Singh, Lalit Kumar Upadhyay, Mandeep Singh, and Gurjant Singh. Alternate athletes are goalkeeper Krishan Bahadur Pathak, midfielder Nilakanta Sharma, and defender Jugraj Singh.

New Faces

Jarmanpreet Singh, Sanjay, Raj Kumar Pal, Abhishek, and Sukhjeet Singh will make their Olympic debut in Paris.
