GIFT City Unveils New Fintech Initiatives
Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City) in Gandhinagar, India, has announced the launch of two major initiatives: the GIFT International Fintech Institute (GIFT IFI) and the GIFT International Fintech Innovation Hub (GIFT IFIH). These projects are supported by the Asian Development Bank and aim to position GIFT City as a global leader in fintech education and innovation.
GIFT International Fintech Institute
The GIFT IFI will be led by a consortium including Ahmedabad University, IIT Gandhinagar, and the University of California, San Diego. Starting in January 2025, the institute will offer training programs to equip professionals with skills needed in the modern financial sector, preparing them for high-growth careers in global finance.
GIFT International Fintech Innovation Hub
Led by Plug and Play, a global accelerator platform, the GIFT IFIH will provide startups with resources, mentorship, and networking opportunities to help them succeed in the competitive fintech landscape.
