Former President Donald Trump Shot at Pennsylvania Rally
Former US President Donald Trump was shot at during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. The bullet pierced the upper part of his right ear. Trump immediately knew something was wrong and thanked the US Secret Service and law enforcement for their rapid response.
Trump expressed his condolences to the family of a person who was killed and another who was injured. He shared his thoughts on Truth Social, stating, “I want to thank The United States Secret Service, and all of Law Enforcement, for their rapid response on the shooting that just took place in Butler, Pennsylvania. Most importantly, I want to extend my condolences to the family of the person at the Rally who was killed, and also to the family of another person that was badly injured.”
The incident disrupted Trump’s rally, and he was escorted off stage by US Secret Service agents. Videos on social media showed Trump bleeding from his ear. He was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital and later departed in a motorcade.
The US Secret Service reported that the shooter fired multiple shots from an elevated position outside the rally venue. The shooter was neutralized, and the incident is under investigation. Chief of Communications for the US Secret Service, Anthony Guglielmi, shared the latest information and expressed gratitude for the swift action of the Secret Service team and law enforcement partners.
Law enforcement sources revealed that the suspect was shooting with an AR-style rifle from 200-300 feet away, positioned on top of a shed outside the security perimeter.
