A fire broke out in the ICU (Intensive Care Unit) ward of Government Jaya Arogya Hospital’s Trauma Center in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, on Tuesday morning. The fire was caused by a short circuit in the central AC (Air Conditioning) system.

Dr. Amol, who was on duty, stated, “A short circuit occurred in the central AC in the ICU ward of the hospital, causing the fire. It was brought under control immediately. No casualty occurred in the accident. There were six patients in the ward, and all of them have been shifted safely to another ward. All the patients and staff are safe.”

Dean’s Statement

Dr. RKS Dhakad, Dean of Gajra Raja Medical College, said, “I received information about a fire that broke out in the central AC in the ICU ward in the morning. Our doctors and paramedical staff immediately doused the fire with fire extinguishers, and all the patients were also shifted to another ward along with the ventilator. It is good that no casualty occurred in the incident.”
