Family Seeks Help to Find Siddhant Patil Missing in Glacier National Park
Siddhant Vitthal Patil, who was working in San Jose, went missing during a trip to Glacier National Park in Montana. His family, especially his maternal uncle Pritesh Chaudhari, is urging the Indian government to assist in finding him.
Patil’s last known location was shared with the Indian consulate in Seattle, but they have been told he is presumed dead. Chaudhari has provided all the information to the embassy and is coordinating with them, but has yet to receive a thorough response.
Chaudhari has also requested help from External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Despite the embassy’s efforts, including scanning the area with drones, the high water levels are delaying the search.
Patil’s employers at Cadence Design Systems in San Jose are urging the US Congress representative to follow up on the matter. The Indian consulate in Seattle is in touch with the office of the Governor of Montana and is keeping Patil’s friends and family updated.
According to reports, Patil went to Avalanche Creek with friends, slipped on a rock, and was swept away by the current. The family still hopes he is alive and is seeking further investigation.
