DPIIT’s Special Campaign 4.0: Cleanliness, Space Management, and Revenue Generation

The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) in New Delhi has successfully completed initiatives under Special Campaign 4.0, focusing on cleanliness and reducing pending tasks. This effort freed up 15,847 square feet of space and generated Rs 16,39,452 in revenue. The campaign involved reviewing 58,545 physical files, of which 15,816 were discarded, and conducting 300 cleanliness drives across 70 locations.

Key achievements include converting unused space into a recreation hall and gym, and adopting best practices for space management. The National School of Design in Andhra Pradesh and Haryana implemented a ‘waste to art’ initiative, while a 450 KWH solar rooftop was installed at NCCBM Ballabhgarh. Additionally, CPPRI distributed notebooks and tables made from agricultural waste to students, promoting environmental awareness.

DPIIT, part of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, was established in 1995 and merged with the Department of Industrial Development in 2000. It aims to promote industrial growth in India, aligning with national socio-economic goals.
