Devendra Fadnavis Accuses Opposition of Dividing Society Ahead of Maharashtra Elections

As the Maharashtra Assembly elections approach, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has accused the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) of dividing society to gain votes. He stated that if their opponents continue to cheat, they will respond with equal or stronger measures, using the phrase “Eent Ka Jawab Patthar Se.”

Fadnavis explained his concept of ‘Dharmyuddh,’ which means fighting for truth (‘Satya’) against the opposition’s falsehood (‘Asatya’). He emphasized that the Mahayuti alliance is committed to this battle for truth.

Fadnavis also addressed remarks by AIMIM’s chief Asaduddin Owaisi regarding the renaming of Aurangabad to Sambhaji Nagar. He affirmed that the land belongs to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and not to Razakars, highlighting the historical significance of the name change.

Regarding the BJP’s loss in the Ayodhya seat, Fadnavis stated that it does not affect the people’s desire for the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. He criticized the MVA for allegedly accepting divisive demands from the All India Ulema Board.

With the elections scheduled for November 20 and counting on November 23, both the ruling Mahayuti and the opposition MVA are intensifying their campaigns for the 288 assembly seats in Maharashtra.
