Incident Overview

A team led by ACP/Vigilance, supervised by DCP/Vigilance Anyesh Roy, and guided by Aslam Khan, IPS, Addl. Commissioner of Police, Vigilance, set a trap with the complainant’s help. Constable Amit was caught red-handed accepting the bribe.

An FIR has been registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act and Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita. The accused constable was arrested and presented before the Special Court at Rouse Avenue Courts, where he was sent to judicial custody.
