Delhi Police Busts Gang Stealing Mobile Tower Equipment and Recovers French Ambassador’s Phone

Delhi Police Busts Major Theft Gang

In a significant breakthrough, the Delhi Police have dismantled a gang involved in stealing Remote Radio Units (RRUs) from mobile towers. A total of 52 individuals have been arrested in connection with this crime. The gang is accused of stealing over 5,000 RRUs, valued at more than 100 crores, and selling them abroad. The police have successfully recovered 700 RRUs and resolved nearly 250 theft cases related to these units.

French Ambassador’s Phone Recovered

In a separate incident, the Delhi Police arrested four individuals for allegedly stealing a mobile phone belonging to the French Ambassador to India, Thierry Mathou. The theft occurred while the ambassador was visiting the Jain Mandir in the Chandni Chowk area of North Delhi. The phone has been recovered, and the ambassador had initially filed an e-complaint about the missing phone on October 20.
