Delhi Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj Criticizes Central Government Over Rising Crime
Delhi Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Saurabh Bharadwaj has expressed concern over the rising crime rate in the national capital. He blamed the Central government and Delhi LG V.K. Saxena for their failure to maintain law and order after a doctor was shot dead inside Nima Hospital, Jaitpur.
According to the Delhi police, the incident occurred when two men, after receiving treatment for an injury, demanded to meet the doctor and then shot him in his cabin. The police are currently investigating the case, examining CCTV footage, and searching for suspects.
Bharadwaj highlighted the increasing influence of gangsters in Delhi, mentioning a recent incident where a gym owner in Greater Kailash was shot dead. He also noted that AAP MLAs Sanjiv Jha and Ajay Dutt have received extortion threats. Bharadwaj criticized the police for not taking action despite FIRs being filed.
In response to these incidents, Delhi MLAs have written to the LG, seeking an urgent meeting to discuss the growing threat of gangsters demanding extortion from businesses in the city.
