New Delhi, October 1: Customs officials at Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport intercepted a woman traveling from Hong Kong to Delhi with 26 iPhone 16 Pro Max hidden in her vanity bag. The arrest was made based on specific intelligence received by the Customs Department.

According to officials, the woman had concealed the iPhones wrapped in tissue paper inside her vanity bag. Further investigation is underway.

In another incident on Monday, a passenger from Dammam to Delhi was caught with two gold bars hidden inside the battery compartment of his mobile phone. The gold bars weighed approximately 200 grams.

Additionally, on September 28, Customs officials seized 2,739 grams of gold, valued at Rs 1.80 crore, from seven Uzbek passengers traveling from Almaty. Six passengers were arrested under the Customs Act, 1962, and a juvenile was apprehended under the Juvenile Justice Act, 2015.
