Delhi CM Atishi Criticizes BJP Over Bus Marshal Issue

Delhi Chief Minister Atishi has criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for their handling of the ‘Bus Marshal’ issue, accusing them of being ‘anti-poor’. She claims that thousands have lost their jobs due to the actions of BJP and Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena. The bus marshals have been protesting for reinstatement after their services were terminated last year.

Atishi’s Accusations Against BJP

Atishi, speaking at the ‘Janta Ki Adalat’, accused the BJP of making people homeless by demolishing slums and stopping pensions for the elderly and poor widows. She alleged that BJP’s politics have left 10,000 bus marshals jobless and homeless.

Protests and Political Tensions

Delhi Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj and other party members were detained while protesting for the reinstatement of bus marshals. Atishi had previously written to LG VK Saxena requesting the restoration of their jobs. Saxena met with the protesting marshals recently.

Achievements Under Kejriwal’s Leadership

Atishi highlighted the improvements in Delhi under Arvind Kejriwal’s leadership, including better electricity, water, schools, and hospitals. She praised Kejriwal for providing 24/7 electricity, free water supply, and free bus services, claiming that these achievements have made BJP fearful of AAP’s governance.

Upcoming Elections

With assembly elections expected in February, Atishi advocated for Kejriwal’s leadership, emphasizing the positive changes he has brought to Delhi.
