These discussions aimed to enhance strategic partnerships, technology transfer, and future opportunities in aerospace and defence.
Singh's meetings with GE Aerospace and Safran focused on strengthening aerospace collaboration and defence technology cooperation. Similarly, discussions with Leonardo S.p.A. and Dassault Aviation emphasized defence collaborations and technology transfer.
Singh also met with BAE Systems to discuss innovation and strategic partnerships in aerospace technologies. Additionally, he engaged with international defence officials from Nepal, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, and the Maldives to strengthen bilateral defence ties.
Secretary Defence Production Sanjeev Kumar met with Saudi Arabia's CTO, SAMI, Dr. Mohammed AlKahtani, to discuss defence industry cooperation. Singh also held bilateral meetings with Nepal's Defence Secretary Rameshwar Dangal and other international officials to review and enhance defence cooperation.
Further discussions with Mozambique, Sri Lanka, Suriname, Mongolia, Mauritius, and the Democratic Republic of Congo focused on enhancing defence industrial cooperation. Singh also met with France's Lt Gen Gael Diaz de Tuesta to discuss joint projects.
The 15th Aero India event runs from February 10-14, with business days from February 10-12 and public days on February 13-14.
