CUET-UG Results Expected by Early August, Says JMI Vice-Chancellor Shakeel Ahmed

New Delhi [India], July 18: The Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) results are anticipated to be announced by late July or early August, according to Jamia Millia Islamia’s Officiating Vice-Chancellor Shakeel Ahmed. Although there will be a slight delay in admissions, the academic calendar will not be affected.

The CUET-UG results were initially scheduled for June 30 but have been delayed. The university uses CUET scores for 15 undergraduate and five master’s programs. Ahmed mentioned that a meeting with the deans concluded that the results should be released by the end of July or the first week of August.

The NTA announced a re-test for over 1,000 candidates on July 19 due to issues with the initial exam. The delay in results will affect admission timelines for all participating institutions, including Delhi University and JNU. The CUET-UG is the primary admission test for undergraduate programs at 46 Central universities, with exams conducted from May 15 to May 31.

UGC Chief M. Jagadesh Kumar reassured students that the NTA is working diligently to announce the results promptly. He explained that after reviewing challenges to the draft key, the final key is prepared, usually taking about a week or two.
