Congress Leader Supriya Shrinate Demands BJP Statement on Kangana Ranaut’s Farm Laws Comment

New Delhi, India – Congress leader Supriya Shrinate has called for an official statement from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) regarding Mandi Lok Sabha MP Kangana Ranaut’s remarks on the farm laws. Kangana Ranaut had suggested that the three farm laws, which were repealed after extensive farmer protests, should be reinstated.

Shrinate emphasized that Kangana is not a minor figure in the BJP, being one of the 240 elected MPs, and her statement cannot be dismissed as a mere coincidence. She urged the BJP to clarify its stance on the matter.

Bhupendra Singh Hooda, Congress candidate from Garhi Sampla-Kiloi Assembly constituency, criticized Kangana’s comments, stating that they reflect her mentality. He highlighted that farmers had fought hard to get the laws repealed, even sacrificing their lives.

On the upcoming Haryana polls, Hooda expressed confidence in the Congress’s growing public support, predicting a victory for the party. He stated, “We are getting tremendous public support, and people have made up their minds that this time Congress government will be formed. BJP is going and Congress is coming.”

Congress leader Pawan Khera accused the central government of conspiring to reintroduce the farm laws, citing Kangana’s statement as evidence. He assured that farmers would not allow such conspiracies to succeed and that the Congress party would win with a majority in Haryana.

Earlier today, Kangana Ranaut issued a public apology for her statement, acknowledging that it could be controversial. She retracted her remarks after the BJP clarified that her comments were not authorized and did not represent the party’s views. Kangana expressed regret and promised to align her future statements with the party’s stance.

BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia reiterated that Kangana’s remarks were her personal opinion and did not reflect the BJP’s position on the farm bills. He emphasized that the party disapproved of her statement and that she was not authorized to speak on its behalf.

Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja also criticized Kangana, calling her “habitually controversial.” The BJP has distanced itself from her comments and advised her to refrain from making such statements in the future.
