On Saturday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, in collaboration with Sankalp Foundation, honored 22 selected participants of civil and forest services and their parents at a ceremony held at IRDT Auditorium Survey Chowk in Dehradun, Uttarakhand.

Building a New India

Chief Minister Dhami emphasized that the construction of a new India has begun under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He highlighted the crucial role these young civil officers will play in shaping the future of the country, its institutions, and policies. He mentioned that these officers would be instrumental in giving immortality to the Amritkaal of the country.

Expectations from Young Officers

Dhami encouraged the young officers to become the main charioteers in making a developed India by bringing changes in the system. He urged them to become true protectors of the country’s culture by being good administrative officers. He stressed the importance of honesty and integrity in their responsibilities, which would pave the path to success in life.

Mission Karmayogi

The Chief Minister called upon the young officers to serve the country with dedication and to make their decisions beneficial for all sections of society. He encouraged them to bring about a change in the work culture by adopting the Mission Karmayogi approach, which goes beyond the traditional 10 to 5 work hours.

Opportunities and Challenges

Dhami highlighted the opportunity these civil officers have to serve the country and contribute to strengthening its soul by facing various challenges. He praised the efforts of Sankalp Parivar, noting that 686 youths have been selected in the civil service this time due to Sankalp’s excellent guidance.

Former Chief Secretary Shatrughan Singh cautioned the future officers against misunderstandings. Quoting Kautilya’s economics, scientist Einstein, and writer Lal Shukla, he emphasized that civil service is not a means of earning money. He encouraged the youth to give their best and expand their knowledge across various subjects.
