The Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) membership drive in Tripura, which started on September 3, has received an overwhelming response. Nearly 400,000 people have joined the party in just a few weeks. From Dharmanagar to Sabroom, the campaign has sparked enthusiastic participation among the people of the state.

Chief Minister Manik Saha’s Efforts

Chief Minister Manik Saha is actively engaging with the public to support the initiative. On Sunday, he visited various wards in the Bardowali constituency, encouraging citizens to join the BJP by visiting their homes personally. This effort aims to strengthen the party’s organisational base while managing governance, greatly inspiring party workers at all levels.

Goals and Targets

Speaking about the drive, CM Saha mentioned that they aim to enrol around 1.2 million members in Tripura, with 500 new members at each booth. He expressed confidence in meeting this target. Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the membership drive on September 2, and CM Saha began the campaign in Tripura the following day. Previously, approximately 650,000 people had accepted membership in the BJP, and this time the target has been increased both in Tripura and at the central level.

CM Saha is personally visiting various locations to facilitate the membership process, which is also available online until September 25. Given the enthusiasm for membership, he firmly believes they will meet their target.

Encouragement to Join

The Chief Minister urged the people of Tripura to join the membership drive. He stated, “The public knows that only the BJP government can lead the country forward, and that’s why everyone is enthusiastically joining as members out of love for the Prime Minister. I urge the people of Tripura who have not yet become members to do so, as membership can now be easily acquired through a missed call. I encourage everyone to join the membership drive.”
