Raipur, Chhattisgarh – On October 19, Chhattisgarh’s Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao expressed confidence that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will win the upcoming bypoll in the Raipur South Assembly seat. The bypoll is scheduled for November 23 and is the only one in Chhattisgarh. The seat has been held by BJP’s Brijmohan Agrawal for eight consecutive terms.

Deputy CM Arun Sao stated, “Brijmohan Agrawal has represented Raipur South for 8 consecutive times. BJP has always received the blessings of the people of Raipur South.” He believes that the BJP will continue to receive support from the people in this bypoll, saying, “This time too, the BJP will definitely get the blessings of the people of Raipur South. ‘Lotus’ will ‘bloom’ in Raipur South once again.”

The Election Commission announced bypolls for 48 assembly constituencies across 15 states, including nine seats in Uttar Pradesh and the Wayanad Lok Sabha seat in Kerala. Most polling will occur on November 13, with some on November 20. The vote counting is set for November 23.
