In October 2024, as Diwali celebrations lit up India, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) in Mumbai facilitated travel for over 4.42 million passengers. This included more than 3.16 million domestic and 1.25 million international travelers. The airport recorded its busiest day on October 26, with 939 flights.

Domestic and International Traffic

CSMIA’s top domestic destinations were Delhi, Bengaluru, and Goa, with Delhi seeing 0.58 million passengers. Internationally, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and London were the most popular destinations. The Middle East accounted for 51% of international traffic, followed by Asia at 23% and Europe at 17%.

Flight Additions and Efficiency

New flights from Nok Air to Thailand and Virgin Atlantic to London boosted Asian and European traffic. CSMIA maintained high service standards, ensuring a smooth experience for travelers during the busy Diwali period.
