Chandrashekhar Azad Confident in JJP and ASP Alliance for Haryana Elections

Chandrashekhar Azad, the National President of Azad Samaj Party (ASP) and a Lok Sabha MP, expressed his confidence in the victory of the Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) and ASP alliance in the upcoming Haryana Assembly elections. He believes that this alliance will create a new option in the state and address the issues faced by the youth, who are dissatisfied with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress.

Azad stated, “This alliance has created a good atmosphere of brotherhood. The youth who are upset with the BJP and Congress have a feeling that now the issues of the youth will be discussed… I am confident that we will win our seats and a new option will be created in Haryana.”

He also promised to conduct a caste census and release its data, along with ensuring budget allocations for community projects such as digital libraries and sports colleges in villages.

Earlier, Azad criticized the BJP and previous governments for the poor civic conditions in Ambala, stating, “After seeing the whole Ambala today, I feel ashamed of the government that has been in power for the last 10 years, I feel ashamed of the previous governments as well. It looks like we are roaming in a city of water, the situation is that bad, though it rained only for a few hours. If it rains continuously, the people won’t be able to venture out…time has come to deliver justice to these people.”

He expressed confidence that Parul Nagpal, the alliance candidate for the seat, will win in the Haryana assembly polls.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticized Congress during a rally in Hisar, accusing it of corruption and betrayal of farmers. He highlighted the BJP government’s work for all sections of society and pointed out the infighting within Congress.

Haryana will go to the polls on October 5 to elect a 90-member state legislative assembly, with votes being counted on October 8. In the 2019 elections, the BJP emerged as the single-largest party with 40 seats, while Congress won 30 seats.
