The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed a third charge sheet in the ongoing investigation of the NEET 2024 question paper leak. This charge sheet was submitted to the Special Court for CBI cases in Patna and involves 21 accused individuals.

Previously, on September 20, the CBI filed a second charge sheet against six individuals: Baldev Kumar alias Chintu, Sunny Kumar, Ahsanul Haque (Principal of Oasis School, Hazaribagh and City Coordinator), Md. Imtiyaz Alam (Vice-Principal of Oasis School and Centre Superintendent), Jamaluddin alias Jamal (a newspaper reporter), and Aman Kumar Singh.

The charges include criminal conspiracy, abetment, criminal breach of trust, cheating, theft, causing disappearance of evidence, and dishonestly receiving stolen property under various sections of the Indian Penal Code. Additionally, charges under the Prevention of Corruption Act were filed against the principal and vice-principal of Oasis School.

The first charge sheet was filed on August 1, 2024, against 13 accused. The investigation revealed that Ahsanul Haque and Md. Imtiyaz Alam conspired to steal the NEET UG question paper. The CBI began its investigation earlier this year due to alleged irregularities in the NEET 2024 exam.
