On a Sunday in Balochistan, a car bomb explosion tragically took the lives of two individuals and injured seven others. The incident occurred near a passenger bus traveling from Khuzdar to Rawalpindi on the Khuzdar-Shahdadkot highway.
The explosion happened when a car loaded with explosives was parked near the highway. According to Levies officials, the bus was passing through the area at the time of the blast.
Kalat Division Commissioner Naeem Bazai confirmed the fatalities and stated, "Investigation is underway to determine the nature of the blast." Khuzdar Assistant Commissioner Hafizullah Kakar reported that one passenger died instantly, and six others were injured, including the bus driver and cleaner. The bus sustained damage, and the car was completely destroyed.
Security personnel and the bomb disposal squad quickly arrived at the scene, transporting the victims to Khuzdar teaching hospital's trauma center. Unfortunately, the cleaner succumbed to injuries at the hospital. The injured were later moved to CMH, Khuzdar.
The deceased were identified as Shiraz and Sanaullah. The injured include Mohammad Ikram, Atif, Mohammad Yousaf, Samiur Rehman, Zia, and Irfan, with two in serious condition. Bomb disposal officials are investigating further, suspecting the passenger bus was the target.
