The RCMP Federal Policing units in British Columbia investigated a transnational organized crime group involved in producing and distributing fentanyl and methamphetamine. On October 25, coordinated enforcement actions were conducted across Metro Vancouver, including a massive drug superlab in Falkland, BC, and locations in Surrey, BC.
Seizures and Arrests
The operation led to the seizure of 54 kg of fentanyl, 390 kg of methamphetamine, 35 kg of cocaine, 15 kg of MDMA, and 6 kg of cannabis. Additionally, 89 firearms, including handguns and rifles, were confiscated, along with small explosive devices, ammunition, and USD 500,000 in cash. The main suspect, Gaganpreet Randhawa, was arrested and charged with multiple drug and firearms offenses.
Further Investigations
The RCMP also seized 310 kg of methamphetamine prepared for export, with assistance from the Canada Border Services Agency. Investigators suspect a link to a recent seizure of 30 tonnes of precursor chemicals in Enderby, BC, and are working to trace the source of these chemicals.
