The Border Security Force (BSF) made a significant discovery in the Tarn Taran district of Punjab, India. On Thursday, BSF troops recovered 13 kilograms of suspected heroin. This operation was based on reliable intelligence about narcotics hidden in a hume pipe near the border.

According to the Public Relations Officer of the Punjab Frontier BSF, the recovery took place at around 12:40 pm. The BSF troops found six plastic bottles filled with suspected heroin, weighing a total of 13.160 kg, in a farming field near the village of Kalash in Tarn Taran district. The intelligence provided by the BSF intelligence wing was crucial in this operation.

The BSF Punjab Frontier highlighted the importance of this recovery, stating that it dealt a significant blow to trans-border criminals trying to smuggle heroin into India from Pakistan. On the same day, BSF troops, along with Tarn Taran police, also recovered an improvised and assembled Pakistani drone from Naushera Dhalla village in Tarn Taran district.
