BRS Leader K Kavitha Gets Bail in Delhi Liquor Policy Case

BRS leader K Kavitha, daughter of former Telangana Chief Minister Kalvakuntla Chandrashekhar Rao, received bail from the Supreme Court today in the Delhi liquor policy case. Her brother, BRS Working President Kalvakuntla Taraka Rama Rao, expressed relief on social media, writing, “Thank You Supreme Court. Relieved. Justice prevailed.”

Political Reactions

The bail has sparked political tensions in Telangana. Congress and BJP have been exchanging accusations. Congress claimed that the bail shows a nexus between BJP and BRS, while BJP’s Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar criticized the bail, calling it a win for both BRS and Congress.

Bandi Sanjay Kumar wrote on social media, “Congratulations to the Congress party and its advocates for securing bail for BRS MLC in the infamous liquor scam. Your untiring efforts finally yielded fruits. This bail is a win for both BRS and Congress.”

In response, BRS Working President KTR urged the Supreme Court to take cognizance of Bandi Sanjay’s comments, stating, “You’re a union minister in charge of Home Affairs & casting aspersions on Supreme Court!! Highly unbecoming of your position.”

Congress’s Stand

TPCC Working President Mahesh Kumar Goud also reacted, saying, “Kavitha getting bail today indicates the clear nexus between BJP and BRS. We have been saying that BRS and BJP party are in close nexus for the last ten years. Now it got exposed.”
