BRICS+ Media Centre Opens in Moscow
The BRICS+ Information and Cultural Media Centre was inaugurated in Moscow to enhance humanitarian cooperation among BRICS+ countries, focusing on culture, science, and education. The event was organized by the All-Russian State Library for Foreign Literature and TV BRICS International Media Network.
Inauguration Highlights
The opening ceremony included a plenary session titled “Humanitarian Foundations of the BRICS+ Dialogue: The Role of Media in Strengthening Cooperation in the Fields of Culture, Science, and Education.” Pavel Kuzmin, General Director of the Library for Foreign Literature, emphasized providing reliable literature to help readers form their own opinions.
Janna Tolstikova, CEO of TV BRICS, expressed hopes for the Centre to become a global hub for journalists. Maria Zakharova, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson, highlighted the Centre’s role in advancing humanitarian cooperation.
International Participation
Representatives from Brazil, Egypt, India, Iran, China, Cuba, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Ethiopia, and South Africa attended the event. A panel discussion on “Intercultural Dialogue in the 21st Century” was moderated by Ksenia Komissarova, Editor-in-Chief of TV BRICS.

The Centre will host various events, including press conferences and seminars, to promote cultural, educational, and scientific projects. It aims to facilitate information exchange and cultural diplomacy among BRICS+ nations.
