BJP’s Pratul Shah Deo Predicts End of Soren Dynasty in Jharkhand Elections

In Ranchi, Jharkhand, Bharatiya Janata Party spokesperson Pratul Shah Deo criticized the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, claiming that the ‘Soren dynasty’ will end in the upcoming elections. He compared Hemant Soren’s political future to the end of the Mughal dynasty with Bahadur Shah Zafar. Deo accused the current government of corruption, citing a Rs 70,000 crore scam and over 7,400 cases of harassment against women. He also mentioned more than 7,000 murders and 2.5 lakh cognizable offenses during the government’s tenure. Deo alleged a ‘loot’ in resources like sand, coal, and stone under Soren’s leadership.

Earlier, BJP’s state chief Babu Lal Marandi also criticized the government, stating that people are tired of Hemant Soren’s administration and want the BJP in power. Marandi claimed that for five years, Jharkhand’s power has been in the hands of brokers and corrupt officials. The elections for the 81-seat assembly in Jharkhand will occur in two phases on November 13 and November 20, with vote counting on November 23. A total of 2.60 crore voters, including 1.31 crore male and 1.29 crore female voters, are eligible to vote. The state also has 11.84 lakh first-time voters and 66.84 lakh young voters.
