BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj Leads Cleanliness Drive in Naraina Vihar

BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj took part in a cleanliness drive in Naraina Vihar on Saturday as part of the party’s ‘Jhuggi Basti Safai Abhiyan’. She was seen planting saplings with the residents to create a better environment and build a park.

Speaking about the drive, Swaraj said, “Today, we, the members of the BJP, have come to this area between Chirag Delhi village and Sheikh Sarai bridge. There is a drainage system nearby, due to which a dump has been made. As a part of the Jhuggi Basti Safai Abhiyan, we organised a cleanliness drive here and planted saplings to create a good environment and build a park here for the residents.”

Earlier, on August 4, several BJP leaders, including Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva, Union Minister Harsh Malhotra, and Bansuri Swaraj, participated in the ‘Jhuggi Basti Safai Abhiyan’ campaign. The leaders took part in cleanliness drives and planted trees in their respective areas. Sachdeva participated in Anand Vihar, Swaraj in Naraina Vihar, and Malhotra in Kalander colony. Other leaders like Ramvir Singh Bhiduri and Praveen Khandelwal also joined the drive in different areas.

Sachdeva mentioned, “We have launched a cleanliness drive in many slums of Delhi. It is the rainy season, and many types of diseases occur, dengue cases are also increasing. All our workers are running cleanliness programmes in different slums in Delhi today. We are going to continue this programme.”

Meanwhile, Bansuri Swaraj criticized the AAP government in Delhi, stating that it is their old habit not to do any work and blame officials during crises.
