BJP Mahila Morcha to Hold Candle March for Female Doctor in West Bengal

Protest March
In protest against this incident, a march will be held outside RG Kar Medical College by the BJP Mahila Morcha under the leadership of National Mahila Morcha President Vanati Srinivasan. She will be joined by National Office Bearer of Mahila Morcha and Rajya Sabha MP Darshan Singh, Sangeeta Yadav, Geeta Shakya, Indu Bala Goswami, and West Bengal Incharge Pooja Kapil Mishra at 6 pm on August 16.
This march will not only be a symbol of solidarity with the victim but also a protest against the state government’s failure to ensure the safety and dignity of women.

Meanwhile, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee alleged that the Left is in connivance with the BJP to create unrest in West Bengal. She referred to the vandalism at RG Kar Hospital in Kolkata, claiming that the mob was not connected to the student movement but were BJP supporters.
On August 9, a post-graduate trainee doctor was found dead in the seminar hall of RG Kar Medical College. The victim’s family has alleged that she was raped and murdered, triggering nationwide protests by doctors and medical fraternities.
