The parliamentary board will then choose one candidate to contest the elections. The party aims to announce most candidate names soon, with a meeting in Delhi scheduled to finalize decisions.

Election Manifesto: ‘Paanch Prana’

The BJP has released its ‘Paanch Prana’ promises for youth and women in Jharkhand. These include the Yuva Sathi scheme, Gogo Didi Yojana, Ghar Saakar, Laxmi Johar, and ‘Assured Employment’. Financial assistance and housing support are key components of these promises.

Trust in Leadership

Himanta Biswa Sarma emphasized the trust Jharkhand’s people have in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s promises, highlighting the commitment to youth employment and financial support.

Upcoming Elections

Jharkhand is expected to hold elections for its 81-member legislative assembly by December 2024, with the current government’s term ending in January 2025. The Election Commission has yet to announce the schedule.
