BJP Leader Pratul Shah Deo Confident in NDA’s Strong Position for Jharkhand Elections

In Ranchi, Jharkhand, BJP leader Pratul Shah Deo expressed confidence in the National Democratic Alliance’s (NDA) victory in the upcoming Jharkhand assembly elections. The NDA has announced its seat-sharing plan, with BJP contesting 68 seats, All Jharkhand Students Union (AJSU) 10 seats, Janata Dal (United) 2 seats, and Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) 1 seat. The Jharkhand assembly has 81 constituencies.

Deo stated, “After the seat sharing has been finalized, I can say that NDA is at its strongest in Jharkhand so far. It has never been in history that four parties have come together to fight the elections.” He criticized the current government led by Hemant Soren, calling it the most corrupt in the state’s history.

Deo also commented on Rahul Gandhi’s upcoming visit to Jharkhand, suggesting it would inadvertently benefit the NDA by increasing their seats. He remarked, “We wanted Rahul Gandhi to come here earlier. His coming here would for obvious reasons help increase the seats for our party.”

The Election Commission has scheduled the Jharkhand assembly elections in two phases on November 13 and 20, with vote counting on November 23. The state has 2.60 crore eligible voters, including 11.84 lakh first-time voters. In the 2020 elections, JMM won 30 seats, BJP 25, and Congress 16. In 2014, BJP secured 37 seats, JMM 19, and Congress 6.
