In Kharagpur, West Bengal, BJP leader Dilip Ghosh has voiced strong criticism against the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC). He accused the TMC of creating an atmosphere of fear and tension as the Medinipur by-elections approach. Ghosh claimed that the TMC manipulates the election environment to influence voting outcomes.

Ghosh alleged that the TMC has started vandalizing BJP offices to intimidate opposition voices. He expressed concerns that these actions are aimed at swaying the election results in their favor. The by-elections for six Assembly seats in West Bengal are scheduled for November 13, with results expected on November 23. The constituencies involved are Sitai (SC), Madarihat (ST), Naihati, Haroa, Medinipur, and Taldangra.
