The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has unveiled its second list of 22 candidates for the Maharashtra Assembly elections scheduled for November 20. Among the candidates are Ram Bhadane from Dhule Rural, Chainsukh Madanlal Sancheti from Malkapur, and Prakash Gunvantrao Bharsakale from Akot.

Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will contest from Nagpur South West, while state BJP president Chandrashekhar Krishnarao Bawankule will run from Kamthi. Other notable candidates include Minister Girish Mahajan from Jamner and Sudhir Mungantiwar from Ballarpur.

A significant meeting took place in Delhi with Home Minister Amit Shah and leaders of the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance, including Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy CMs Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar. The meeting focused on resolving seat allocation issues, with the BJP expected to leave some seats for the NCP and Shiv Sena.

The Maharashtra Assembly elections will see the ruling Mahayuti alliance, comprising the BJP, Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde faction), and Ajit Pawar-led NCP, facing off against the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi. The elections are set for November 20, with counting on November 23.
