On the occasion of the 79th birthday of Naveen Patnaik, the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) organized blood donation camps across Bhubaneswar, Odisha. The event, called ‘Jiban Bindu’, saw participation from BJD MLAs and party workers who also extended birthday greetings to Patnaik.

BJD Vice-president Debi Prasad Mishra praised Patnaik as a leader admired both within and outside Odisha. He highlighted Patnaik’s contributions to the state’s development, especially in disaster management and promoting hockey, which have been recognized by the United Nations.

Despite the celebrations, it was noted that Patnaik prefers not to celebrate his birthday. Instead, he supports socially committed initiatives like the ‘Jiban Bindu’ blood donation camps.
