Rohtak, Haryana: Bhupinder Singh Hooda, the Leader of Opposition in Haryana and Congress candidate from Garhi Sampla-Kiloi, expressed confidence in a Congress wave sweeping across Haryana. He criticized the BJP for its lack of development initiatives, stating, “BJP is lacking issues; they have no achievements to show…It is a failed government.”
With the Haryana elections scheduled for October 5, major parties like BJP, Congress, JJP, INLD, AAP, and BSP are intensifying their campaigns. Nuh, a region that faced unrest during riots in July-August 2023, is in focus. Aftab Ahmed, the Congress candidate for Nuh, previously won the seat in 2019, while BJP’s Sanjay Singh, who won the Sohna seat last time, is also contesting.
Voting for all 90 Assembly constituencies will occur on October 5, from 7 AM to 6 PM, with results announced on October 8. In the 2019 elections, BJP secured 40 seats, forming a coalition with JJP, which won 10 seats, while Congress won 31 seats.
Additionally, the Haryana Congress highlighted support from AAP’s Nilokheri candidate Amar Singh for Congress candidate Dharampal, emphasizing Congress as Haryana’s biggest hope.
