Bharat Biotech and Telangana CM Revanth Reddy Team Up to Restore Historic Stepwells
Bharat Biotech has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with SAHE to rejuvenate and restore the historic stepwells at Ammapalli Temple and Salar Jung Museum in Telangana. This initiative is part of the Telangana government’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts.
The signing ceremony took place in the presence of Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Minister for Youth Advancement, Tourism and Culture Jupally Krishan Rao, and Principal Secretary A Vani Prasad. Suchitra Ella, Managing Director of Bharat Biotech, emphasized the importance of preserving cultural heritage and promoting sustainable water management through this project.
Bharat Biotech is also collaborating with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in Telangana to support environmental sustainability and eco-heritage tourism. The stepwells, dating back to the 13th century and the Qutb Shahi period, are significant examples of ancient engineering and architecture. Restoring these structures will help in rainwater harvesting and groundwater replenishment, addressing water security issues in the region.
