Bangladesh’s Student Politics: Sheikh Hasina’s BCL Banned by Interim Government
In Bangladesh, the student wing of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s Awami League, known as the Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), is facing significant challenges. Meanwhile, opposition student wings like the Chhatra Dal and Islami Chhatra Shibir are regaining control on campuses. The ban on Shibir was lifted, reversing the previous government’s actions. The situation remains tense as the political landscape shifts in Bangladesh.
